Admissions Requirements
Glenmore University sets clear admissions standards to ensure that graduate students are academically prepared and capable of succeeding in rigorous online programs. Admissions criteria vary by degree level and program, as outlined below.
Master’s Degree Programs
Applicants to master's programs (including the Master of Science in Computer Science and the Master of Business Administration) must meet the following minimum requirements:
● Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, typically in a relevant discipline. Applicants from unrelated fields may be considered if they demonstrate sufficient foundational knowledge or professional experience.
● Academic Performance: A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Applicants with lower GPAs may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with additional documentation or conditional admission.
● English Language Proficiency: Required for applicants whose primary language is not English. Proof may be demonstrated through one of the following:
○ TOEFL: Minimum score of 79 IBT
○ IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5
○ Duolingo: Minimum score of 105
○ Official confirmation from a prior institution where English was the language of instruction
○ A university-administered English interview (for select candidates)
● Transcripts: Official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions are required. Degrees earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated by an approved credential verification agency.
● Application Materials: A completed application for admission, current résumé or CV, and a personal or goal statement outlining professional objectives and academic readiness.
Additional program-specific requirements, such as technical skills for computer science applicants, may apply and are listed on the university website.
Doctoral Degree Programs
Applicants to the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) program must meet the following minimum requirements:
● Educational Background: A master’s degree from an accredited institution. A degree in business or a related field is preferred but not required. Applicants from other disciplines must provide evidence of relevant professional experience or coursework in management or leadership.
● Academic Performance: A minimum graduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants with lower GPAs may be considered based on compensating factors such as professional achievements or academic potential.
● English Language Proficiency: Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following:
○ TOEFL: Minimum score of 79 IBT
○ IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5
○ Duolingo: Minimum score of 105
○ A degree from an institution where English was the language of instruction
○ Completion of a university-administered English interview
● Transcripts: Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions are required. International degrees must be accompanied by a credential evaluation from an approved agency.
Professional Experience: Prior leadership or managerial experience is preferred but not required. Applicants with relevant work history in business, government, nonprofits, or entrepreneurial settings may receive priority consideration.
● Application Materials: A completed application for admission, current résumé or CV, and a goal statement reflecting alignment with the doctoral program’s emphasis on applied research and executive leadership.
All applicants must submit government-issued photo identification as part of the identity verification process.
